History 281–Handout for Second Essay Assignment Answer one of the questions below in a typed, double-spaced, 3-4 page essay. Be sure to build your answer using evidence (material from the lectures and reading assignments) to support a thesis, or argument, which should be presented at the beginning of the essay. Be careful also to keep careful control over your grammar and choice of language. As with the first essay, you must include a Works Cited (or bibliography) page in addition to the 3-4 page essay. On that page, you must list all the readings you used for this essay, presenting them in either MLA or Chicago Manual of style format. You must also give the source (in a parenthetical citation) for every quotation or example you use from the readings in your essay.As with the first paper, you may not use any outside texts in writing this paper, other than the readings posted on BB.
